Guiding decisions from Connecticut for my in-laws who live in Florida has been like walking through a mine field blindfolded. I cannot believe that neither my academic degrees nor my business experience had helped me resolve their issues. It literally requires an in-depth understanding of financial, legal, and medical regulations and terms--somewhat akin to trying to learn three foreign languages all at the same time. Thankfully, a colleague told me about AHA, created by and for real journeyers who juggle their own real-life demands of work, family, and eldercare problems.
Hope you will bring some of your caregiving workshops to Connecticut--some of us long-distance caregivers would sure appreciate it!
